| JOONG GUN Interpretation |
| Joong Gun is named after the Patriot An Joong Gun who assassinated HiroBumi Ito, the first Japanese Governor General of Korea, the man known to have played the leading part in the Japanese-Korea merger. The 32 movements of the pattern refer to Mr An’s age when he was executed in Lui-Sheng prison in 1910. |

| 3 step semi free sparring is designed as an intermediate step between set sparring and free sparring. It involves three consecutive attacks and three blocks or evasions, plus a counter attack. 3 step semi free sparring should not be rushed, the secret is reaction force and quick, intelligent movements. This is where the true art of sparring is learnt.The Attacker always starts in Left or Right L Stance, Middle Section Forearm Guarding Block. The Defender always starts in Parallel Ready Stance. |
